Data center connections and site connections via optical connections became the core business of dacoso GmbH. In close cooperation with its technology partner ADVA Optical Networking AG, dacoso succeeded in establishing a broad customer base - including companies from the data-sensitive financial and insurance sectors that have placed their trust in dacoso solutions.

Focus on security 

The encryption of the fiber optic lines via the complex AES-256 process was the starting signal for the expansion of the security solutions at dacoso: Against the background of aggressive data attacks, all companies today rely on a strong security concept. dacoso supports them with a portfolio of cyber-defence solutions, which have their platform in the specially developed Network & Security Operation Center. "In 2017, we received the coveted BSI certificate for our NOC/SOC," reports Horst Pohl. "This was a real milestone in our company's history, because this seal shows that we have the right technology and, above all, competent and determined people with whom we can tackle major challenges.

Virtual Networking: "Up front."

Since 2018, dacoso has been providing even more optimization in the network with its third solution area. Virtual networking" uses software that accelerates network management and makes it much easier. "Software Defined WANs are still new territory for many here in Germany," says Thomas Joswig. "But the market is picking up, and we are happy to have been working on this topic for some time now and to be at the forefront with our solutions. We have convinced our first customers, and we look forward to making this segment even more attractive with sophisticated approaches."

Service that counts 

While at the beginning service was an accessory for used equipment, today service is the focus at dacoso. The company also draws its success from its reputation in the market for acting professionally, hands-on and reliably. Today, more than 120 employees at 12 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are part of the team and look after the continuously growing customer base. The solutions are implemented in cooperation with renowned product and security partners. Felix Pohl is now the third managing director and the next generation on board.
