Network detail planning

Network reconfiguration will generally kick off with some course planning, the so-called high level design. The details will be sorted out in the next step: The low level design will, for instance, adapt all the ring and damping plans and the hardware systems. Detail planning is part of our daily business, since we fully configure the networks of many customers. We can offer this as a module if the high level design is in place already. We can also, on request, make the required adaptations.

Low level design components

  • extension of the high level design with more detail (port and slot detail, damping values, etc.)
  • ring plan adaptations
  • rack and slot layout
  • configuration of the trunks
  • WDM/Wave link concept
  • damping planning
  • creating fiber links
  • hardware implementation (sub-rack and system cards)
  • patch planning and definition of ports
  • workpack report
  • hardware list with required services and facility for inventorying
