SAN Performance Analysis
The data volume actually transmitted in the SAN depends on many factors. Even though present-day storage area networks are operated at 8 Gb/s, bottlenecks or capacity overload can happen. Analysis of the cause of these bottlenecks is often complex and difficult to perform in the course of day-to-day business. Network analysis with external testers is the answer here.
Our Services
dacoso provides testers (dEGboxes) specially developed for this purpose. These dEGboxes permit inspection of the network behaviour and data integrity, e.g. the actual net data rate can be measured. Analysis of the measurement data allows identification and elimination of bottlenecks. The dacoso dEGboxes have three FC interfaces and can be adapted to the respective situation in your SAN with 2 x 2, 4, 8 Gb/s and 1 x 1 Gb/s. By using two dEGboxes functions of the SAN infrastructure (e.g. trunking) can be tested. When newly installing SAN components, the repercussions on an existing network can be verified in advance, without the use of confidential live data.
