For years ESCON was the standard for connecting terminal equipment in the data centre. Even though ESCON has meanwhile been superseded by FICON in many installations, a large number of peripherals with ESCON connection are still in operation in the form of printers or control units.

dacoso provides both experts and testers for FICON and ESCON. Problems may also be encountered when converting from FICON to ESCON. dacoso provides support with an ESCON and FICON protocol analyzer in an end-to-end inspection of your installation. If problems in the FICON or ESCON environment arise, the testers can be used for investigating the data streams, and for analyzing and localizing all problems. This helps you to maintain operational reliability of your installed devices on a sustained basis. The measurement includes written documentation of the error log analysis.
